The CHIANTI database has the following primary ASCII files for this ion:
contains the energy levels (in cm-1). It includes both experimental and theoretical values of the levels energies.
%filename: si_2.elvlc %observed energies: v.3 of the NIST Atomic Database %theoretical energies: Tayal, 2008, ApJS, 179, 534 % produced as part of the Arcetri/Cambridge/NRL 'CHIANTI' atomic data base collaboration % % Peter Young, Jan-2009
contains wavelengths, gf and A values of the transitions. The wavelengths are based on the experimental energy levels and should be the best available. Wavelengths calculated from the theoretical energies are of an indeterminate accuracy and their values are presented as negative values of the calculated wavelength.
%filename: si_2.wgfa %observed energies: v.3 of the NIST Atomic Database %theoretical energies: Tayal, 2008, ApJS, 179, 534 %A-values: Tayal, S.S., 2007, J.Phys.B, 40, 2551 %A-values: Nahar, S.N., 1998, ADNDT 68, 183 %A-values: Nussbaumer, H. 1977, A&A, 58, 291 %Comment: Both Nahar (1998) and Tayal (2007) give f-values so these have been converted to A-values using the observed energies. All data from Tayal (2007) have been used and these have been supplemented with Nahar (1998) for all remaining allowed transitions, and Nussbaumer (1977) for the ground transition. % produced as part of the Arcetri/Cambridge/NRL 'CHIANTI' atomic data base collaboration % % Peter Young, Jan-2009 %File processed with wgfa_tidy by pryoung on 6-Mar-2019 %File processed with wgfa_tidy by pryoung on 31-May-2023
contains the effective electron collision strengths scaled according to the rules formulated by Burgess and Tully (1992).
